Astilbe-like white plumes are popular with butterflies
Blooms May-June with plumes lasting through fall when they produce attractive seed heads
Dark green, alternate pointed leaves have slightly serrated edges
Quickly grows upwards of 6' and just as wide, dies to the ground in winter, but returns in the spring
